Hi to all. I've had something on my mind since I purchased my first Xara software many years ago. I've never been able to get a good HSV model for the color of gold. It's probably very simple but I just can't figure it out; as a matter of fact I could use advice on making any shade of color that might suit my purpose. Any and all suggestions are gratefully accepted. Thanks.
The quickest way is to use the eyedropper on an existing image and built up tints and shades from that.

Re: Color Creation
TG member and Moderator Albacore donated some great metal gradients to the clipart forum as well as being great for doing gold, silver, chrome, copper and lots more you can also use the eyedropper tool as Acorn suggests to sample colours from them or select them with the fill tool and click on the fill nodes with the colour editor open to see the information for the colours that Albacore used.
As well as using Gary's link above I've also used one I've downloaded from TG (My apology to the original contributor, I can't remember who it was. Anyone know?) which I've used many times.
I also attach one that I've amended such that the shades of Named Colours are now linked to the parent colour. This sit's on my desktop.
