Default Cool possibilities with the extrusion tool

On this thread i'm going to post some of the cool things that you can do with the Xara 3D extrusion tool. This first one was designed by a friend of mine that many of you know as BP. I consider him to be the master of this particular tool. This is my recreation of his work. I have put together a multistage views of this peace to show you what you can do with just the Xara 3D tool. I will post more on this thread as I put them together.

    Enjoy,

    Paul

I am going to repost the Duracell batteries here on this thread since they belong to this category. I will post more later.

It's a great technique. The gun handle doesn't work except for a very casual glance (nor are the body and other parts so square).

I did the gun using the extrusion tool exclusively without other highlights or gradients. Imagine what you could do using all the tools in Xara. I'm not trying to promote using the extrusion tool exclusively, I'm just pointing out some of the benefits.

Here is one working with logos. The the Entire Harley logo was done with the extrusion tool including the reflections. I have that a few of these in the past. I think the 3d tool works very well with these type of logos.

Thank you Rik. I think i did a tutorial on that one way back when. I did the first one in vector gradients and did a redo with the 3D tool.

You are welcome csehz. I hope they give you some ideas on how to use the 3D tool in some of your projects. I think that I will do more of these projects using different Xara tools.
