Ijust worked for a few hours on a drawing( without saving!!!), and Xara X for some reason decided that was enough and closed.

Is there a way to get back the fruit of a 2 hour labor or is it lost for all eternity?

Since my file wasn't ever saved, expectedly it was nowhere to be seen in WINDOWS/TEMP but I installed Sean's script to edit the Registry, so it should be allright for the future.

Meanwhile I learned a valuable lesson: in the absence of a backup copy, to SAVE regularly.

Okay so you didn't name the file you were working on - Is there any file .bak or .tmp in Windows/temp with a time stamp about the time of your crash? (It should have a sizeable file size)
