    Welcome to TalkGraphics

I have moved your question to the Graphics chat since your profile does not indicate that you use any Xara software.

I think you are confused. A poster is printed and cannot contain anything except print.

You cannot create an animation in Photoshop with a JPEG.

You can create a GIF (a graphics file type) animation, but I do not think you can do this in Photoshop.

Do you want to do this for a website?

Yes, PS can create animated GIFs. Still doesn't support APNGs, though.

well yes you can Gary - if you make a GIF [as Mike said] and use masks if the bitmap does not support transparency

can you post up the image, tell us what you want to do with it, and which version of photoshop you use?

    bit difficult to advise otherwise

edit - when you say 'poster' I think you mean 'banner' if it is for a website; website I can't help you with, but the animation I can

Please just close this thread; seems to be another confrontational, argumentative dialog.

to which you have just contributed nothing whatsoever

I have offered to help - and you want to close the thread? - PM the mods if that's what you want instead of just derailing it
