Sheesh, you guys are brutal. Then again, you are probably the market for my client's services.
So let's have some suggestions.

quote:
Perhaps something that would portray network connectivity. Or if they are more of a custom applications provider, something that would relate to programming.

Great. Examples? Suggestions?
I really do appreciate the feedback even if it does not do my ego a lot of good http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif

Well Gary since you opened the floor to suggestions I'll throw something in. I love brainstorm sessions. I threw this together real quick with Xara CD clipart. If I had Visio here I would rather have used less detailed pieces. I hope this sparks something for you.

Gary,
I located their website and did some reading on their services. I know this is their site because I remembered your very nice Placitas Chamber of Commerce logo.
Here is what came to mind, after the browsing their site. I'm not too happy with my font choices but this should give you some ideas. Also if you need the file let me know and I will post.

examples.
Gary, I'm not very good at logos. I used a few bitmaps to throw together a few examples. Perhaps using something like the coiled network patch cable for the O in Onsite would be an eye catcher for network nerds like myself ;-)

Sorry to be brutal. I just wanted to help you do your best work. Your logos are usually first rate and amazing to me. I wish I had your talent.
I like Dafipp's graphic a lot, though it is a bit complex for a simple logo.
Here is one example. I used the Wingding dingbat font (number 8 key) to produce the mouse. The font is Zapf Calligraphic Bold 801.

Why, I’m afraid I can’t explain myself, sir, because I’m not myself, you know...

Hello Gary,
I don't have enough time for surfing thier web site...
But your samples... I was confused... sorry. :-0
They're really good, looking fun, but...
...I can't catch main idea of your logo...
...I can't understand what is OnSite company doing...
I'm think you must get some rest and then look at your work in another angle... I'm sure you can do the best samples http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
Sorry, I can't offer something for you now, because don't have enough info about OnSite.

#4 looks the best for me, but I would probably change the lettering.
#5 reminds me of Magic Bytes.. German software company producing games for Commodore 64 computer back in times ;-) I think it is quite okay too, but not with so colorful sparkle in the middle and I would probably not go with blocky graphic either.
The idea with cross cursor (for the exact position of "site" on map) is very good I would play with it more. In combination with arrow pointer too.
Btw. maybe you could use with the icon for database
I created this design based on David's design which was a slolution I really liked.
Does this work any better for you all?
