John Clements brought this up in a personal e-mail and I suggested he post it here. Some time has passed and I thought before we all forget, it is time to send up a trial balloon.

IF someone were to put on a Xara Conference in a real city and a real country, would you go?

Let's say for instance, in England for 3 days and the price per person would be about $500-700 including lodging and breakfast and lunch. This is all very theoretical but I list these figures and city to have something to base this question on.

    Would anybody be interested?

And if yes, what would you hope to learn?

    (Count me in :-)

Sure would be great. If such an event were to happen I'd hope it would be announced well in advance - to give me and others a chance to save our pennies to be able to afford to participate.

London does strike me as a great location. It would be great to visit Xara's country home. Maybe Big Frank would show up in his VW van and transport a few of us to a good pub. (I imagine London has a few good pubs )

    Regards, Ross

PS - we are going to need a logo design for the conference

Wonderful idea. I agree with Ross, I'd need some time to gather my pennies.

I would like to learn about how others begin a project and follow through to the final image.

Idea! I would love to go such a conference. I don't think I could make it to England as I do not have that many pennies, but I would love to go. Maybe they would have one here in the states somewhere.

I've thought about this many times and thought it would be cool for all of us to meet and see how we all work and share ideas etc. etc. But I don't think I could ever save up enough pennies to make it to over to England, not a rich one here! Would be a great idea and I'd recommend it for all that could possibly make it!

    Anyone wanna buy me?
