Thread: Google Fonts

    Default Google Fonts

No matter what Google Font I use, I get a warning that, that particular font is no longer supported. Am I missing something as I thought that Xara now supported these types of fonts? (Designer Pro X10)

I'm not sure why this is happening. I just created a web document in Designer Pro X10 and used 6 different Google fonts and when I did a preview I get a dialog listing the fonts but no indication that these fonts are no longer supported.

What I have seen frequently is if you apply a style such as Bold or Italic, or Bold Italic that the specific font does not have, a warning dialog reports that the fonts are not supported.

Many thanks - I will check this out. Annoying really.

There is not much point in using Google fonts if you cannot use bold or italics, so why bother with having this in Designer Pro X10. Even importing a site from Designer 9 Premium throws up this same error which did not use Google fonts.!!!!!

You can use Bold and Italic and Bold Italic but only if the styles exist.

In the font list, when you see an arrow to the right of the font name, this indicates there are styles available. Some fonts have a few and some have quite a lot.
