Creating 3d sphere with hole

The diagram I sent was just a representation of what I need to be able to do... the rings are not the issues... here is what I need to make spherical with a hole in it.. I have the basic image was just curious to see if it could be done. I make beading diagrams for my wife and the only ones that do not look like the others is this one style simply because the 3d lighting is not on it. Just looks flat if you understand what I am saying. The other image the beads look more like cylinder beads. (seed beads)

Love that one Dutchim can it be rotated more straight on to (looking) through the hole and see what is behind it? Here is some shapes I have been able to put holes in.... Tho the one cone was just a smaller circle in a (grey color) to simulate the hole.

Use the 'Set Photo Hue' tool to change the color...

AWESOME !!! Now here comes the question (how did you do this) in very lay terms very new to this software. This is 3d revolvable ? or just rotatable?

Now is that really a sphere or a 2D representation of a 3D object.

I used the Boole function in a 3D program. So this PNG can only be rotated.

Most of mine are 3D but just can not make that ball as much as I have tried. Ditchim's ball would work for me as long as I can figure out how to do it and rotate well enough. Remember I only have Xara photo and graphic designer 10 to my disposal at this point. Do not know what a boole function is.

Sorry for the confusion.

I used 3D software to make the 'bead' by subtracting a cylinder from a sphere (Boole).

This I rendered as a PNG.

Not sure if the version of Xara software you have has the photo tool and so the set photo hue option

This won't freely rotate in 3D space as the OP wants.
Do you mean 'boolean' ??
ss-kalm's suggestion will involve using the frame-by-frame Animation tool in Xara or even using Xara 3D 7
