Default Video about how to remove glasses light reflection using Xara ?

    Hi everybody,

Is there any video demo about how to remove light reflections on glasses in a photo using Xara ?
Searching the internet returns videos only using photoshop!

I am using Xara photo graphic & designer 10.

    Thank you very much.

There is no way to remove light reflections from photographs because the white spots are actually areas of overexposure, meaning there is nothing 'underneath' them that could be revealed. What you can do, however, is clone from areas where there is no reflection. I found this old thread from 2007 that shows some of the process: http://www.talkgraphics.com/showthre...rom-eyeglasses

I checked that thread but we have no step by step explanation.

I think the exact stages will vary according to the image. I think the thread explains the principle well - fill in the area that has a reflection with content that has no reflection.

There is no magic solution. You are not taking away the reflection, you are replacing it.

Your profile does not list any Xara products so when you have a minute could you update your profile. Photo & Graphic Designer 10 has a new filter that controls highlights and shadows. The Highlights Brightness filter brings out more detail (if any exists) in very bright areas. There is a review here http://xaraxone.magix.net/PGD10/

I am using Xara photo and graphic designer 10 and i love the new features but unfortunately that didnt solve the problem.
Actually i replaced the part with the glare on with the clean part (eyeglasses), used some feather and transparency.

Thank you for your time !

You could try painting over the glare with the Heal tool. That will do it's best to make invisible joins and if the first attempt is not quite right, just keep clicking the "Magic erase" button until you like the results.

Look in the Help file for "Heal".

Not seeing the image you were trying to alter, I presumed you had the problem as in this example 1jpg. The womans glare was no problem but the guy has two front on glares and even after trying PhilM's method, it did'nt look to good at all so the best I could come up with was shades in these examples I think we did this for some guys Fire Dept. annual photo also a while back and the woman with the glare in her glasses then was quite happy with shades. Anyway, have a look at these before and after images. Hope they help.
