Unknown smudge on 1st page of my PDF exports

Hi, I've been using Xara for years and have never noticed this before. Recently ,using Xara Pro 9, when I have exported a page as a PDF, unless there is an image in the forefront then I end up with a random pink smudge mark in the middle of the page. It kind of looks like a pink masking colour, but I've looked through my layers and can't find anything that would cause it. Its there no matter what device I use to export it or open the exported PDF so its certainly a software issue. Anyone else experience this?

Try switching to Outlines View and see if you can see the objects. If so, see if you can delete them.

Hi,
No I've tried that, but there's no evidence of the smudge anywhere until I export it.
The only way I can get rid of it,(since its only doing it on the first page of every PDF export), is to convert the first page to a bitmap copy and exchange this for the editable elements. This removes the smudge, but its not ideal, and it happens with all my projects not just a one off file. Its the strangest thing.

Very strange, there's no evidence of the objects that I can find in the .xar file, but they show up when I export it as well. They're easy enough to get rid of in Acrobat Pro, but that's not an ideal solution either, as it doesn't address the cause.

Appears to be something to do with the text, if you hide the text and export the pink shapes don't appear, at least on my system. with any of the text they do.

i'm completely stumped, now even if I delete the text and export, the exported pdf is still showing the text I removed! Wondering if Xara is corrupt and spitting out corrupt files. Might try a re-install if I can't figure it out.

I had to recreate the file to rid myself of the shapes.

Weird. I don't have time to look any further at it. If you want the remake, let me know.
