Pasting Shadow Attributes

I'd like to be able to select a shadow, copy it, and paste the attributes for color, blur and transparency to another shadow or object. At one point, I though this used to work, but now it doesn't. :\

So I guess this does work on shapes with a photo fill, but not on photos all by themselves.
