Wondering how a professional designs a logo?

Lynda.com made a short film with a logo designer showing how he goes about his business.

He uses Adobe Illustrator ( and a real pencil and paper, gosh ), but that's not the point - his workflow is super easy in any professional graphics program. The hard part is the talent and design thinking..

I suspect that every designer goes about this in her or his own way. And being right brained people we tend to have different processes. But the bottom line is if the logo is good and the client is happy and the designer is happy, then the process works.
