Photo slideshows

Are there any good (preferably video) tutorials on how to work with these widgets? I'm struggling to figure these out. I can't seem to size them to my needs, get photos to fit properly or place the elements properly. One example, notice 1-5 buttons in edit widget mode and in regular mode:

Here is what I would do. Make all your slideshow images the same size.

Use one of the sample images for size (you can also resize the slideshow and make it proportionately larger or smaller, then crop all your images to this size. Make bitmap copies of each image (Arrange > Create Bitmap Copy) and use these images to replace the sample images.
