Default WidthScribe 2 from Astute Graphics

I have been a big fan of the Astute Graphics plugins for Adobe Illustrator for some time now.
One of their recent releases was WidthScribe 2 which allows randomizing and optimizing variable strokes on a path to create hand drawn effects.
There is a Width Stamp Tool, which lets you create vector effects on either raster or vector images like the one I made on this black & white photo of a young Mick Jagger by Jim Marshall in 1972.
It's worth checking out if you have Illustrator CS5 or above and download the 15 day free trial at the above link.
I recommend enlarging the attached thumbnail to solve the moiré-type effect on the artwork. Remember, the result is editable vector.

Big fan of Astute's stuff as well...thanks. Just goes to show that have a plugin archetecture can relieve programmers from a lot of the burden of granting a lot of people's wishes.
