Default Clone/Magic Erase Show outline oddity

Is it my imagination or has the way the Show Outline works changed?
When I am using the Clone/Magic Erase tool I click on it to get rid of the dotted outline, it refuses to do so.
I hit Esc and then it goes.
At other times it doesn't show at all.
Has anyone else found this to be the case?
It didn't behave like this previously as far as I am aware..

I have not noticed that Grenu but I'll go to my computer and pay attention to see of I have that problem. Could be that I do but it didn't bother me.

    Summary of improvements

Photo (Designer Pro X10, Photo & Graphic Designer 10)

Color selections can now be made transparent (color erasing). Right click on a color selection circle and choose “Make transparent”.
Selected regions inside Photo Groups are now shown with a dashed outline and can be re-edited using the mask/region tools.
Live effects embedded in text no longer re-generate as the text is edited.

I did check Grenu and it looks like you are using the same version of X9 that I am. I messed with it for a long time and it seemed to behave normally, so I tried XDPX same thing, it behaved like it should.
The biggest difference I noticed is that the pro version has a mask tool that will cover the entire page but my XP&GD9 did not. I guess I need to go about things a little differently with the non pro version and mask around the area not to be protected. Because I at least cannot seem to alter the mask created with the mask painter tool. Going to check further however.

So thank you for getting me trying to understand this thing.

The update (and listed changes) are applicable to the Designer 10 series, Larry - which is the version Grenou is writing about..

Oops, I looked at her profile and Grenou only had PGD9 listed so that's what I was looking in. I also have and use PGD 10 and have not noticed anything out of the ordinary there either. At least to me it wasn't. Ah well, I tried.

My turn to go Oops, apologies, I haven't updated my profile, have now done so.
Thanks for investigating, it's not a huge problem.
The Esc key is very useful :-)

There is probably some feathering added as well which can effect the outline of the erase.

    It is still doing it.
I use the Clone tool, draw around the subject, do the cloning, hit Esc to get rid of any outlines.
Go back to do more cloning, the outlines return, I click on the outline icon, but the outlines don't go. This never used to happen before.

As I said, (in the scheme of things) it isn't a huge problem, but this didn't happen before.
