Floating Search - is there such a thing? (bit like floating social buttons)

I'm interested in adding a search button to every (or most) page(s) of my website. I looked at the google one but it's hard to see where I could put it, as it has a white background and much of the useful space is already used on my website.

The social share buttons work well floating on the side of my website. A floating search button would be great too though if there were such a thing.

I noticed on this thread gwpriester you mention http://www.addsearch.com/ and it looks more discreet on the site you added it to, so if there's no such thing as a hover search then I might use something like that, but hover search would be ideal.
