Default How to do in Photo and Graphics Designer 10

See the attachment wich shows a girl , picture as a woodcurving style with vertical strips ( wooden nerv )

Does anyone know how to make such strips and / or perhaps diagonal stripes ( raw brushes ?? ) in Xara ?

not as background, but part of the picture . ?

I think you can apply transparency to one bitmap that is on top of another image. So, face on top, wood grain on the bottom layer.

If you apply a Linear transparency then you can make the amount of transparency in front of the face less than to the side.

    This help?

    Hi Gary,
    Thanks for your quick reply.

I understand although I've never worked with layers.
I made this 'girl on mahogany' with Click image for larger version.

Another point is clearly to collect backgrounds as much as possible :-)

    Thanks for helping !

Never give up. You will never fail, but you may find a lot of ways that don't work.
