I am just starting to educate myself to start selling from a new web site I am putting up using D-Pro X-10 and there seems to be many possibilities available. Nothing real fancy and not a lot of items to list - something easy to set up and run.

I have had a PayPal account for years but don't know much about it's eCommerce.

Someone recommended Ecwid.

If you are marketing from and taking payments from your site, what do you recommend?

Ecwid works well with Xara, and another option is XT-CMS a Content management system that was developed by TG member XTom specifically for use with Xara software. I am currently using it to create a web store for a client. It's nearly finished and it's been an interesting journey. I can tell you that Tom provides excellent customer service.

What does, "The cms runs on php so the host/server should be linux based with php 4 or above.".

I am hosted by StartLogic - I would not think they use Linux. - jb

Hi Jeb, your best bet would be to contact your host and see if they support the php.
