Pages moving left and right when nav bar clicked

Can anyone help me with this.
When clicking on the various pages on the nav bar, the loading page moves slightly left or right on the screen which is annoying.
I've attached the .web file - any help would be appreciated.

If you use the All Pages Same Size option Page Options > Page Size > All pages in website the same size this won't happen.

When pages are deeper than the screen scroll bars appear. If the page fits within the browser, there are no scroll bars. So scroll bars, no scroll bars will make the page jump back and forth.

You're not alone. It has bedeviled me for a long time then someone from Xara pointed out the scrollbars thing.

One would hope that Xara could program a compensation for this so one can have different length pages without the page shift.

I wonder if the script needs to appear on the short pages or if it could just be placed in the Website > Head section and would therefore apply to all pages.

Hi Gary. I tried it in the website head section and it works a treat. If the page is short it just creates a blank scroll bar gutter with no furniture and if the page is long it supplies the scroll bar furniture.

What's the difference between adding the > All pgs same size vs. Steve's tweak?
If you add > All pgs same size, does it also effect the length, or just the width of the pages?
Most of my pages are not the same length, so if this is the case, it will cause issues.
