I have Windows 7 64 bit and Pro 10, the thumbnails are not being displayed only the D 64 icon.

Have done a search and they are all old postings and tried a few of the suggestions and no go.

All other SW work OK just Xara fails to do so.

Might be worth trying to associate (Open with...) from Windows Explorer.

In Windows Explorer, find a .xar file. Right-click on it. Click 'Open with...'
Then if Xara Designer Pro X10 is not shown as an option, select 'More options'
And I'm sure you can work it out from there.

Pity it did not work as it was an easy solution as it Xara was already set up that way.

I have used the RegSVerHelper utility and it said it had succeed in installing XarThumb64.dll from the Pro 10 folder but it still no icons even after rebooting the computer.

Also ran sfc /scannow and at a loss on what to do other than reload Xara

Sounds like you've got Windows Explorer set to details. What happens if you go View / Large Icons?
