    Default 32 or 64 bit

When I got x9, I had both the 32- and 64-bit versions. I didn't use the 64-bit because it did not support 32-bit plugins.

If I download both X10 32-bit and 64-bit and then decided to upgrade, would I need to pay for both? I'm a little nervous about this because (judging from some posts here), the "newest and greatest" installation files are buggy.

    Regards,
    Alan

The 64-bit version runs on 64-bit computers and supports 32-bit filters. I installed the update without problems. I am in the southwest vs the northwest but I don't think it should make a difference.

No, you can download and use both but as Gary points out the 32 bit plug-ins now work on the 64 bit version so the 32 bit version is no longer required.

John - Are you referring to 32 and 64 bit versions of Xara? You list no software on your profile.
