    Really? A mistake? Exactly how doe Photoshop run a 32-bit process such as older 8bf filters? It may have the code built in, but it still runs them as 32-bit processes. Others a whole lotta thunking going on...

    WD11 and WD11P 32 bit no.

    WD11P 64 bit - Yes. This service as before is to allow 32bit plugins to work in the 64bit environment.

    Sorry Simon2099, I'm not quite sure what you mean by the "sequential architecture of Windows", perhaps you could try explaining what the problem is likely to be or even better a link to an article on the web explaining the problem.

    Cambridge is only used when communicating with a PhotoShop plugin and will be idle at all other times. Running a 32bit process (or any other process for that matter) is unlikely to cause any corruption issues for the core Xtreme application, since Windows insulates processes from each other (one of the prime purposes of an OS). Communication between the 2 applications takes place in a controlled manner using the standard IPC mechanisms.
