    Default combining shapes with bitmap

I have finished my tutorial and it needs a line/border around the outside. But I can't get it to combine into one shape. When I add line, it puts a box around all objects. When I try to use combine shapes it disappears! Is this something that has to do with a bitmap? I've never worked with them before.
    Thanks,
    pslane

First can you tell us more about the tutorial you are doing? Is it possible to post a link?

Well, I think I've spent enough time on this tutorial. I'm just finishing it up "my way" and I'll post it tomorrow. I believe this was over my head since I don't know enough about bitmaps yet. I didn't seem to have much control over the bitmaps. But there was no way I could get it to combine into one. So I just added 2 rectangles behind it to give it some border.
    Thanks,
    pslane
