Text not anti-aliased

For some reason when I just opened Photo and Graphic Designer 6 and began typing test, the text appears with jagged edges. Normally it would be smooth. This happened before and I don't recall what I did to fix it so it is anti-aliased. Can anyone advise? I am unable to find an anti-alias option anywhere in the help menu. Thanks.

Make sure your View Quality is set to High Quality or Very High Quality (Window > View Quality)

Sorry for the late acknowledgement. Yes, that did it. I knew it was a simple setting because it has happened to me before, but for the life of me I couldn't remember what I needed to do to correct it. Appreciate your kind assistance.
