    Default Newbie with questions??????

Hi My name is Loriblackdog and I am a new member. I have found and watched quite a bit of the tutorial's by Gary. I am trying to copy and trace an image that I can file as .png, so that I can use in another machine that will carve wood. I will attach the item I am trying to make into a Model, however I cannot get all the outline to be black. I am not worried about the text. I would appreciate any help you can send my way. Please help me lean this program. Thank yourectaddrsmaster.jpg.xarrectaddrsmaster.jpg.xar

Hi Christine, I just wanted to know if there is a place that I can find more of these workbooks? If so, how do I get there. Thank you again I really appreciate your time.

Hi Lori, Bob beat me to it but to add to that, the bitmap your trying to trace is not a very good one so you might find it easier if instead of traceing around the edges, you just trace a line on the shape you want, you can change the line to any size you want, 2,4,8pt. when your done you can also select the line and convert it to a shape and then give that a line if you require, that gives you the option of a shape colour and a different line colour if needed. I've uploaded this jpg. to show you the line drawing or trace if you like, bit rushed but you can see what I mean.

As Stygg and Bob point out here's the way I'd go about it too:

Since you specifically asked about the line color I prepared this mini tutorial for you.
    Hope this helps.
