Just Launched: Photo & Graphic Designer 10

We have just released Photo & Graphic Designer 10, you can find a summary of What’s New on the Xara site as usual, and more info in Gary Priester’s now traditional First Look on the Xara Xone @ http://xaraxone.magix.net/PGD10/ - but the main things are;

• New shadow & highlight controls in the enhance tool for fixing areas of your photo in deep shadow or bright light, without altering the brightness of the rest of the photo
• A brand new Color Select option in the Enhance tool, a much faster & more intuitive way of enhancing based on color
• The PhotoLooks plugin from Red Giant will be bundled with all copies of v10 (a program in its own right!)
• A new top level Insert menu for quick & easy addition of various useful things to your document, including some new things like Font Awesome symbols
• Some of the improvements you might have heard about from WD10 – SmartShapes, online Content Catalog and improvements in import of Word, RTF and PDF (significant improvements in PDF editability).

And yes, before you ask, Designer Pro X10 will include all the new features of PGD10 (and WDP10)!

I am waiting for the pro version. But I did download to try. Be warned it still wants to install the extra programme.

Yeah, I recommend the Custom install if for no other reason than to avoid installing Magix's registry cleaning application, nice though I am sure it is.

Gary, where is "Magic Bullet - PhotoLooks"? I can't seem to find it.

It is in the FX drop down list, towards the bottom.

Thanks Gary, but I still cannot find it. Is it because I'm just using the trial and not the full purchased version?

It should be here. I am not sure if it is disabled in the trial version but usually all features are functional except for some of the templates.

All the features are enabled in this trial, but it does not include the third party plug-ins (such as PhotoLooks)
