Keeping aspect ratio of the photos in photographic designer

Hello all I have photo And graphic designer 9. I'm trying to make a banner and to add a photo which I've selected I want to shrink it down was into the banner when I grabbed the corner is not keeping the same aspect all the way down. I have never come across this before have always been to shrink the photo.

The do anybody that could assist with this problem if it is possible.

I appreciate all the help in the past especially with my situation.

you need to make sure the lock aspect ratio button is pressed - it is the padlock button on the selector tool infobar to the right of the scale width and height dropdown boxes

I found it tonight when I was playing around in the emoticon/banner. Doesn't look like a padlock so accidentally stumbled across it because Larry was helping me sometime ago with a lot of stuff and then I remembered When were doing some other stuff about the padlock.
