I don't have P&LD9 so I'm not 100% sure this feature is included but I expect it is.

Select a any shape, select Arrange / Repelling & Anchoring which opens the window below. Have you got this in P&LD9?

    EDIT: Whoops, forgot the screengrab.

That's because your shape isn't large enough Mike. See the attached .xar file, it should open in P&LD9. The red shape is the repelling shape. I've made it red so you can see it, but it would normally match your page background, white.

Something weird going on here - I just tried the repel text under object in a "normal" way - it works with the 2 pieces f clip art, but not the 2 shapes I draw....

OK Egg - sorted - but some strange behavior. I took the blue and yellow curves - which were a group - and combined them - bingo - they repelled the text below!
But now, both shapes were yellow. Broke them apart, deleted the blue curve so the original blue part of the group showed through!
One helluva way to achive a desired result.

    Hi Mike,

I've found lately that when I've used repelling it's worked fine when I have the file loaded but after saving and closing, then reopening, the repelling gets lost although everything's still set the correct way to repel. This obviously happened when you opened my xar attachment.
