    I just completed this fonts art graphic. I create it using XDPX9 with the aid of a couple of plugins.

    so i'm guessing that either in xara graphics, or more likely the photo editor, you can apply materials and textures to fonts then? that was the feature i most liked in photoimpact even if it doesn't speak vector and you're stuck with whatever resolution you save a modified text to.

    if it does do materials... i like xara's chrome effect better as it simulates sky and a vanishing point vs. the harsh lit materials i got out of photoimpact.

    logo design is what i'm most interested in getting xara for followed by web graphics. text effects, when done tastefully, can really make a banner etc. pop.
