Default Importing earlier graphics from dvd's

    Hi.

Is there any way to import the graphics from the cd/dvd of earlier version of Xara extreme, X1 etc?

    Thank you in advance.

    I should think so.

Open the disc in your disc player and look at the folders. I think that anything in those folders can be imported.

I thought I may have been able to do that but you cant.

All the install files are compressed.

what exactly is it you want?

the earlier CD's - X1 for example are not compressed AFAIK - I just checked mine and the clipart is in .XAR format...

technically of course you may not be entitled to use this material unless you own the licence for the version in question - in which case, what is preventing you from installing? - you can run different versions of the drawing program on the same computer [not sure about the web designer though]

if it doesn't work the way you want then maybe you could install vmplayer [free] as a virtual environment and install all your programs there if you don't want to install them on your computer permanently then you can save what you want to .XAR format...?

EDit - you'll need a spare windows license for that though... something you may not have... so maybe not such a good idea
