Can anyone recommend software for creating Flash files? I've taken a quick look at SwishMax: http://www.swishzone.com/index.php?a...ts&product=max

Any experience with this or others? Looking for something not too pricey and easy to use. Email me offline if need be. Thanks.

You might want to take a look at ******* SWF Quicker at www.*******.com. It's not Flash but you can't beat the price.

I've been using SWiSH for several years. Like it very much. I'm hardly a pro, but I've put together some pretty good stuff. If you don't want to spring for the full SWiSHmax, you can get one of the earlier versions. They're perfectly usable and may be all you need.

I've also used KoolMoves, which isn't too expensive. www.koolmoves.com Geared more toward animation. Some people like it better than SWiSH, especially people who're into scripting. However, I haven't heard anything about that since SWiSHmax came out. Personally, I prefer SWiSH, and I much prefer the canned text effects in SWiSH.

Both SWiSH and KoolMoves have responsive tech support and active user communities. KM might have a bit of an edge in the personal response department.

If you only want text effects, take a look at FlaxFx. www.flaxfx.com I've been pretty happy with that, too. Doesn't get any easier.

I think what Don was trying to relate to you was the ******* DOES have a Flash creation application called Glanda ! Looks like fun!! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

I have Kool Moves and have never used it for anything!! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/frown.gif I'm more of a Painterly type of guy in the digital graphics world and play around with vectors too (XaraX and RealDraw-Pro and Canvas 9 just to remind myself that XaraX totally rules! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif ) for the 3D effects that one can achieve!! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Actually, SWF Quicker and Glanda are two separate products. Glanda is template-based and SWF Quicker is not, although it supposedly includes a number of canned animation effects. They both look like fun.
