I've been a desktop publisher for years and am helping a friend do a brochure for a brand new church. I've played around with XaraX and think it's awesome, but am having a hard time with coming up with something catchy looking. It's called "Mountain View Church." Anyone have any tips or know of a cheap graphic designer? They have very little money to spend on this project of course.

    Thanks much!

    Logos for the Design Challenged

and the Son of the Makeover Maven series.

These should get your logo design juices flowing.

When we lived in the Great Pacific Northwest (Vancouver, Wa.) we went to a church that incorporated a heart and cross. I'm always playing with that concept, most of them I delete but I kept a few.

Sherrie - I did a google search for "Mountain View Church" and was surprised by how many churches there are with that name. One I found is in Washington State. Is this the church needing a logo. I think the one on their page looks great.

I've attached a quick one I did to explore an idea. I note that Monroe's civic logo features two mountains. Is it the same pair that are viewed from the church?

    Regards, Ross

I'm not much of a religeous person Ross, but could the mountain be Calvary Mountain and not a local mountain?

I suppose it could! - certainly that's a more biblical association. When I visited the sites of several "Mountain View Churches" they were however all in locations featuring very secular mountains.
