    Wink 3D Book Cover

    There are lots of Photoshop Action packages for creating a 3D eBook Cover image.
    Has anyone been able to do it in XDPX9?

    then yes...

    On the right, the cover design. Using the mould tool, it gets "mapped" to the front cover area and any necessary recoloring done for the back cover.

    IndiSoft, the company that makes the software I use to create stereograms has a product called Cover Professional http://indasoftware.com/coverpro/ which is great for this kind of thing if you do not want to take the small amount of time needed to produce a cover like the one Mike came up with.

    This is a rough sketch, and may be able to get you started seeing the pieces, still needs work.

    Tools Used:

    Rectangle
    Mold Tool
    Shape Tool
    Clipping Mask
    Apply Clip view
    Bevel Tool

    Here is a quick video tutorial on doing this. The method I used in this video is based on a tutorial that Rik posted a couple of years ago. I've added to the method.

    Not that you can't do it with Xara, but I use a 3D software to create a book object with slight curl on the cover and interior exposed pages whenever I want an Ebook cover...
