    Default Summer Poster

The biggest challenge for me on this piece was to try to lose any artistic signatures I've developed, just let the idea carry me through with an unanticipated technique, and without being trite, just express some of the joys of summer, and a lot of vacations we took when I was young to Massachusetts.

It began as purely Xara as far as tools go, and then I added a thing or two outside the frame using Creature House Expressions. Hopefully, it has an integrated look and feel.

Art work great Gary and your style, so relaxed.

@everyone- as anybody else got similar drawings, if so, I'd love to see them for the different styles and approach you have used.

    Thanks Larry and all—

Larry, you're right. I was trying to brute force all the ideas in my head to create an "all inclusive" spirit of summer drawing. Ad the result is croweded and a little unfocused.

Here's where I began before overdressing the piece:

This probably conveys the mood I was seeking better than the original submission I made here.

When it looks right, you walk away from it, right? :)

    Thanks,

    My Best,

    Gary

I understand Gare, I do that too then start removing stuff till I get something suitable. I was worried that I may have offended you. I like this one better.

Larry, short of saying something unflattering about my mother, I don't think you'd ever intentionally offend me!

I was explaining, not justifying. I work, I overwork, I start fresh, you and others do that, too. There's just an annoying part of the original I'm personally in love with.

    You have those moments, too?

    My Best,

    Gary
