    Default jpeg or not?

Second day with Web Designer 9 and I'm having a blast. I'm hoping you all can provide me with some direction...

I have a logo I created in CorelDraw X6. It is all vectors, solid color. I have exported (saved) it as a .jpg file which during export I reduced it approximately 50%. I tried a resolution of 96 and 150. It looks terrific in Web Designer but not so when previewed in Firefox or Explorer. I'm getting some noticeable grain within the shapes.

Any tips? Should I export into another file format?

Whenever you have a solid colour you can get problems in jpeg format, best in that case is a png. The drawback to png files is that they produce larger file sizes, which can impact the loading speed of a website, but in your case if it is just a logo then a png would be better. Graphics such as logos are better off as png files, photos are fine in jpg

+1. JPEG for photos. PNG for graphics, text, and logos.
