But I found layers sepcially useful for cutting of pictures to pieces for web. In the separate layer (above the desing) I have transparent rectangles each named.. it's better than to name just some objects as Xara tends to cut desing to zillion pieces when you name just some elements.

    Gary-

I discovered that if you group everything, it all goes on one layer...a little faster than your copy, paste, delete method. Of course, this discovery happened when I didn't want everything on one layer

This is something I did a while back for your Salt Shakers thread Gary, but never finished it or just didn't like it, can't remember! Oh well, this is how I made rust at the time (Made with corelXARA) Enjoy!

Mickie -- Fabulous tip. Look for it to be imortalized on Monday.

Steve -- Your salt shaker looks as if iron oxide crystals would shake out :-)

Ric Is that a photo or a darn excellent rendering?

Egg checked in and said he's been busy but he's OK and checking in though holding his comments as he has been busy.

I love this one... especially the wired spehere and other stuff it the upper left quarter. Glass transparencies are also very xarallistic. Thumb up.

    Hi Gary,

The detail and the look of the rust is excellent. Your ability to visual and then create this image is very impressive.
