Looking for Xara Web Designer 9 training resources

Hi everyone,

I have been searching for books and/or videos that offer more in depth training than what is available on the Xara website. So far I haven't had much luck. Does anyone know if such products exist? And if so, where I can find them?

Thanks for the reply gwpriester. I have seen this guy's tutorials on youtube. They are good but they only demonstrate specific tasks or features. What I'm looking for is something more comprehensive. Something that will teach all aspects of the program from A to Z. I assume nothing like that exists, which is a shame because from what I have seen so far, Xara web designer is a great program.

When I first started with xara I too was surprised at the lack of such resources, but after lots of playing around with it, plenty of requests on this forum and I picked up what I needed to, I still have to ask about how to do a certain thing so it is always an ongoing learning process. And that is before you even get into the placeholders thing, pretty much most html coding, jquery, css can be used with the program through these placeholders. The fact is that the xara community is far far smaller than the other software out there and probably a handful of people with the knowledge to be able to create the resources.

The best way to learn is to create a website.

As sketch says, when you get stuck, pop in and pick our brains (I almost keyed in pickle our brains).

Hi TheCapn, I just received my book "Create websites with Xara WEB DESIGNER" bought on the internet from Magix Software GmbH. It's expensive $40 euros plus 10 euros for shipping ($92 Canadian). It is very well written and excellent for newcomers to web design. I'll try and find the link and send a separate reply. By the way I got my book 10 days after ordering and was delivered to the house.
