We'll need a bit more than that.
A graphic or Flash? Does it scroll? Does it have clickable areas?
    Appearing on page load?
Appearing every time on page load?
    A clickable pop-up?
    A hoverable pop-up?

If you advise how you want it to be presented then we'll try and help.

For now it will be a graphic. It must appear every time on page load and once youve read it you can click on the right upper on the x to close it.

I'm short of time at present.
You can add your banner to a layer. The layer name needs to end in (lock).
The part I have not checked is the means to open that layer on loading the page.
It would probably best be a meta tag redirection to the same page with a target to a Named object on the lock layer.

On your index page, create a Layer called Banner.
Place your banner image or any objects you want into this layer.
Select and Name one of these objects "banner".

On your MouseOff layer add a small box and set its Link to the Pop-up layer Banner , with Settings... > unticked Close pop-up automatically.
You could invite the viewer to click this to see the Banner again.

For the Page's Web Properties, set the HTML code (body) to be:
    Code:
    <script type="text/javascript">xr_v1(document.getElementById('banner').parentNode.parentNode)</script>

Andre, you added a Link to the shaped Named 'banner'. Use another shape instead or, if essential, add another parentNode to the code.
This will cause you problems as you chose to add the code into the Website Body. Your intention being to use the code across pages; each 'banner' object would then either have a Link or no link.

You are juggling with three objects, each with a different feature.

    1. Small shape on Banner layer - Named 'banner'. This can be part of your design but have no Link.
    2. Anything on Banner layer with Link - popup: close. This can be part of your design.
    3. Shape on MouseOff layer (but Banner layer works too - it depends on your user story) - Pop-up setting to Banner layer. This can be part of your design.

handrawn, thank you for raising the age matter. In this case, the code have not changed and the clarification I've just added wraps it up nicely.

Funnily, I've just pushed for all Threads over five years to be Closed and TGers would instead open a new Thread with a backlink should they need to continue the discussion.
