How long to wait for website to show onlie

I have published my website, it says its ok but when i try to view it online it doesent show do i have to wait for so long for it to become live???

you can try refreshing your browser cache

it's possible your ISP and or host has a cache that needs refreshing, but that's a bit technical for me to advise on

The website should be available as soon as you publish it.

My guess is you did not publish to the right folder.

Most web hosts want you to publish to a sub-folder such as public_html or htdocs, or something like this.

Check your web host's FAQs on using FTP to upload your site and see if indeed you need to publish to a specific sub-folder.

Hi Acorn, it seems it has been assigned to the wrong domain name in my Online World, but i dont know how to put it right, i have contacted Magix but so far no one has responded to my enquiry. cheers Lynne
