Design alternative for mobile and desktop combined

I have been working on a site for my son and came up with an alternative (for now) so that if you are on a mobile site you can close and open the menu which
helps with viewing on a mobile phone. Yes people will still pinch and zoom but this helps a little. This way when you pinch and zoom the menu will not over shadow the content.

Xara has it limitations but you can pull off some little tricks here and there (especially reading the posts and posted instructions from Acorn, Gary W. Priester and Steve Ledger )

Yes . We are still working on a few more pages and he has full input on ideas and changes.
