SVG files not centred when saving?

I would suspect Xara could easily add the option to not include the <def> section (or leave it empty).

But then, they would need to care about the issue and follow through. It would likely help if the <def> section negatively affected other applications.

have to say I was very pleasantly surprised when xara implemented SVG import/export at all.. and grateful.... it seems it works fine with inkscape and illustrator and [common] browsers, perhaps as much as we can ask at present

Oh, I am grateful as well—but probably because I don't have issues

I hated using Illy for the SVGs I use to make in it. Well, I just dislike using Illy any more than I have to. And InkScape has historically been a slow pig on every computer I have owned...and, like Illy, I only use it when absolutely necessary. I started using XDP with version 6 and have used it as my application of preference ever since.
