Default Better line tool for 2014 ?

Hello and have a nice 2014 year

My wishes about new features into Xara are going to a more precised line vector tool.

It would be really more precise and useful to control the line to have it :
    - around the surface
    - in the surface
    - "in and around" the surface (Xara does this way)

(I do webdesign works in Xara, and these line species are really uncomfortable, as they change the real value of both width and height of all surfaces that include lines.)

More generally I think Xara developpers should concentrate a little more on innovating the vector tools, better than the photos or web possibilities that are less essential - even if of course the photo and web tools can be in a certain direction rather nice for some users.
Anyway, in the new 9 version, - in my opinion - the important new thing are in the page layout and font sections.

+1 to this. Would love to see the option of having the stroke sit on the path, outside the path, or inside the path.

Who knows how many +1s it will take for this wish to be granted?
It's difficult, but I'm on bended knees, begging for this to happen.
If a tuppeny-ha'penny (US English = two-bit) product like Serif can do this, why not Xara? (see screenshot)

    Bob.
Serif's products, to me, are not the product to use as a comparative. There is only one option and that is the "Behind" as shown in Bob's screen shot. Which means that a 6 point line become a 3 point line when it is checked. But the viewable portion of the outline is still outside the object's bounds. Same with CorelDraw.

A better comparative is Adobe products where that same 6 point line (for example) remains 6 point but can be positioned inside the object's bounds, straddle the object's bounds (half inside, half outside as per Xara products), or be positioned outside the object's bounds. But it is still a 6 point line.

I agree with Mike here the Adobe way is the best. It would help the Web designers as much as the vector graphic designers. Surely this would be an easy one to implement?

    Hello.

Just to say that my wish for next 2015 will be the same than the one for 2014
