Pop-Up Gallery

I have a fade effects slide show on my main page. It is a general slide show that shows some of the projects we have done.
I would like to link a pop up gallery (about 6-8 pics) from each of the slide show pics. Is this possible.
Would I create a gallery on an invisible layer and make it visible with a click of each picture ?

I don't think you can do this. Not sure but my gut reaction is no.

The Title Effect Slide Show lets you add links but only to external websites.

What you might consider is something like I have done here http://gwpriester.com/Logo-Design.html

I have two images for the thumbnails. The black and white thumbnail links to the mouseover layer which links to a pop up layer.

Thanks mate, I can do this already (great logo's btw)
What I need is several shots detailing the main picture. I was trying to get away with individual shots and trying for a slide show.
I even tried it on the gallery page with reference picture to pop up a slide show.
Seems to me it would be easy to add a slide show to a hidden layer but it is not possible ( I think)
