    Default Problem with website upload

    Hi All

I've just modified an image on my website, and when I come to upload it (using 'publish changed files only') I get the following come back:

    "General FTP error
No 5xx error code found in server response

    226-File successfully transferred
226 0.013 seconds (measured here), 3.25 Kbytes per second
200 TYPE is now 8-bit binary"

which means not a lot to me. Is this a hosting problem?
Any help would be appreciated, I'm using Designer Pro 7.

Try Help>>Check for updates... There have been problems [caused by Microsoft!] but Xara have produced some updates to fix.

Thanks for this zaphodeist, I couldn't get anywhere with upgrades, and so I have upgraded to Pro X9 in the meantime.
With the new version, I have managed to successfully publish the modified page, but unfortunately I have 'lost' a raft of images (3) at the base of the page, together with the lower portion of the new image!
You can see the index page in question at www.britainswalks.co.uk. The missing lower section contains 3 images.

    Any further ideas please?

Only the index page affected, perhaps there is a stray object [white rectangle?] in front blocking the other objects - go to Windows>>View quality>>Outlines and see if there's anything suspicious. Also look in the layers gallery. If you can't see anything, copy that page into a new file, export to desktop then attach it to a post here so we can get a closer look

Thanks again for the reply. Couldn't see anything suspicious, so have posted page as requested.

Uploads ok as you can see - http://safeplace.org.uk/basils_test/

I suspect Xara may not be shipping the updates yet with a new download of the program, so try Help>>Check for updates... again. The program is supposed to automatically update on booting up but I found I - and others - had to use the Help route

NB I'll take down those pages as soon as you've seen them of course
