How to convert to vector?

Is there any way to convert graphics to vector (.xar)?

For example I would like to convert this picture to vector so that it does not loose quality when I export to PDF for printing in high DPI.

You can do a bitmap trace or upload and trace the image on VectorMagic.com and trace it but the result is not going to be very good.

Though using Xara's Rectangle Tool and Shape Tool to hone your drawing skills is a worthy approach.

Most logos are available on brandsoftheworld.com and there are also online tools available to convert bitmaps to vectors http://www.autotracer.org/ and http://vectormagic.com/home are just the first two in a google search.
