    Default Easy Mosaic

I am still doing a lot of newsletters and it's very few times in the month that I can sit down and do what a like but I saw a tutorial for Illy & PS here: http://blog.spoongraphics.co.uk/tuto...-poster-design
Try it yourself I did it under 1 hour and no PS cos using Xara products it's easy and I just used the fills supplied with the software. Ok maybe it is slightly easier using the blending modes in PS and maybe the textures would have beenslightly more pronounced but not much

What am I missing here Pete?

Create a 6 sided polygon. Add a 1-step contour for spacing. Duplicate.

To be precise you can change the duplication distance and duplicate the shape a precise distance to the side, then duplicate this distance for the row down etc.

Yes I only took 15 mins to do it, had to get the shades right and followed the tut. Didn't want to put others off who could have taken longer so I put in a timing to encourage people to try the tut. Maybe I shouldn't have mentioned timing and make it clearer that you don't have to use PS or any other bitmap editor to do this tut but I thought I had. Still think that using PS to get a drawing dirty is better than using Xara but not much.
