Animating dotted lines...

Hi there,

Does anyone know of a quick way of creating a dotted line animation other than...

create new frame - add dot - create new frame - add dot- create new frame - add dot- create new frame - add dot- create new frame - add dot- create new frame - add dot- create new frame - add dot

Which is obviously a bit dull and repetitive.

Hi,

Not sure you mean that but maybe on the first frame could place all the dots, and a named rectangle which has the same colour like the background, would move over them and making appear the next and next one.

Use 3 'sets' of dots; show each set sequentially.

The concept that cshez cited has lots of uses, and it works very well.

What Fred shows works very well too.

Great thanks. I went with the 3 dots/dashes combined with a clipview clone over the original photo which I pulled back to reveal the dashes as per Gare's vid.
