All Designer 8/MX Series products updated to version 8.1.4.30831

We’ve released free updates for all Designer 8/MX Series products (which were released in 2012), bringing them to version 8.1.4.30831.

This update changes the way website publishing works. Publishing previously relied on a subsystem within Windows, which apparently no longer works reliably on some Windows systems that have been updated to use Internet Explorer 11, making publishing unreliable. Therefore with this update publishing is no longer dependent on this Windows subsystem and so it should be reliable again on all Windows systems.

Please note that the Designer 9 series products already have this improvement.

on updating designer pro X I found that the program had re-instated the 'website' bar which I have unticked because I never use it, re-instated the 'toolbar' bar which I have unticked because I have a custom one with a different name, and for some reason removed the 'arrange' bar which I normally have ticked - all my custom bars were still there; only a minute or so to sort out, but thought worth mentioning...
