Thread: Layer problem

  1. #1

    Default Layer problem

I am trying to add two images to the bottom corner of this website, ON TOP of the entire image and just below the text "Black Tie Optional/Vallet Parking available".
    http://www.radiohof.org/

However, when I upload, the images do not show and they are in a layer called "Mouse Down"

I've right clicked over both in the mouse down layer and selected "Locate Mode" and "layer mode" but they still do not appear.

Any ideas on how I can get these two new images to appear?

Use the Locate button on the text "Black Tie Optional/Vallet Parking available".
This identifies which layer this text is on and selects that layer.
Click on the images on MouseDown and delete them.
Click back onto the text's layer and paste into that layer.

The items should then be on top.

If not, use Arrange > Move Forwards or Arrange > Bring to Front.

You will really have to read the manual to understand the purpose of Layers, the position of objects in a layer and the use of soft groups and the MouseOver/MouseOff/MouseDown paradigm.
The MouseDown layer would have been added for a tri-state button/navigation bar and so your images will never appear as they are not linked to a button or hyperlink.

    P.S. Valet only has a single "l".

Cut (Ctrl X) not delete, though.

Cut removes the selection to the clipboard from where it can be pasted back onto the page or a new layer. Delete removes it period.

Acorn - I know this is what you meant.
