Associating Layers with 1 page only.

Hello Xara users. Can anyone help with this?

I have just started to use more than 1 page for first time. I note that all the layers created on the first page are automatically displayed as named layers on subsequent pages even though their content is empty on those subsequent pages. EG I have a layer on page 1 called "left arm" which a left arm drawing on it. Having created page two with no content, the layer name "left arm" is displayed yet is empty on page 2. On tying to delete it I am warned that layer will be deleted on ALL pages. I cannot find any reference on how to keep page1 layers to only be referenced from page 1. I would like to do this to avoid page 2 being cluttered with irrelevant information.

Uncheck the option "Same layers on all pages in document."under the tab "Page size" in Options (Shft+Ctrl+Q)

You can do that also with your default page by opening a new document, submitting these changes, and save it as a template and make it the default page.
